How to make Listary work with Q-Dir?

I have successfully run Listary with xplorer2 by making xplorer2 the default file manager, then configuring xplorer2 so that it always opens in the same instance, but lately I have gone over to Q-Dir. This is an excellent freeware file manager, however I am unable to stop Listary from opening a fresh instance of Q-Dir each time, which is most annoying.

Has anyone any experience with getting this particular file manager to play happily with Listary? I have written to the (German) author of Q-Dir, but it might take some time to get an answer. I have tried all the obvious options with this app but am still short of a solution. I can see Q-Dir becoming more and more popular as it has many good features and is freeware.

Disable Find As You Type until Show Toolbar Hotkey

Great product! Registered PRO user.

I would much prefer that the Find-As-You-Type window NOT come up unless I specifically ask for it, by using the Show Toolbar Hotkey, or some other keyboard operation. (i.e. That simply typing into the list does NOT bring up the toolbar automatically).

Is it possible to configure this with the current version (3.50)? Or added as an option in 4.0?

Future plan for Mac OS X/Linux?

I really love the Listary.

Its idea is not only must-have for Windows OS only but also to other GUI included OS. So I would love to see Mac OS X and Linux version of Listary.

Mac users will sure love the idea and won't hesitate to pay.

Reordering favourites

It is tricky sometimes to move items, e.g. from bottom to top, when the list of favourites is, say, three or four times the size of the window. It has to be done in stages. Is there any way this can be made easier? Having said that, this is a one off set up activity, and the majority of my usage is switching folders using what I have previously set up. Nod.

Make Listary work with same instance of MultiCommander?

I have recently started using the free file manager Multi Commander (aka MultiCommander) (http://multicommander.com/), an excellent program.

In its Core Settings (options) > Layout > System, I checked "Allow only a single instance of Multi Commander", otherwise I would end up with many instances of MC taking up lots of memory. My problem is that Listary is able to open MC in a new instance, but not in a single instance, as I hoped. When I select a Favorite in Listary and its popup closes, the MC window flickers slightly but does not change directory.

Listary works as it should in Windows File Exporer, with the pane changing instead of opening a fresh instance of the app.

I set MC as my default file manager in Listary, also adding MC to the compatibility list and checking Is File Manager, but still no success. Is the fault on Listary's side or MC's side?

Using Listary Pro 3.51.858

New License for Listary 4 Pro?

Hello Channing, I am very content with Listary 3.51 Pro, which I bought 1 year ago. Before trying Listary 4 beta, I want to know: Do I have to buy a new license for Listary 4 Pro – or what does "Livetime-License" mean? Thank you for your answer and best wishes.

TC failures

what versions of Total Commander are supported? I have TC 7.01 32 bit and every time I try to navigate with lister to some place, it puts strange character (something like ae) just in front of any path and I receive "not found" message. My TC is portable, not installed. I tried last version of lister from website and 4.001104 beta.

About the toolbar - I see several options to place toolbar in tc window. On top, on bottom - not usable if window is maximized. Inside tc window: at the bottom right, at the top left, what about at the top right?
Another question - it is possible to get rid of search field? To leave only buttons

I am using this awesome software-listary 4. However, I have a little problem that this beta version cannot start with windows despite I have already click the checkbox 'start listary when windows starts'. Is it a bug? How can I fix it? Thanks

how to integrate Listary into other programs in v4?

OS: Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit
Listary version: 4.00.1141

As described to me by Channing via email, the ability to add other programs in which Listary would function, has been removed in the latest v4 beta. But the one very useful function that I sure hope I'd still be able to do is the "go as you type". In version 3, whenever I use a program that features a "list" (e.g.: uTorrent, ShellExView) I add these to Listary just for the "go as you type" function. It doesn't always work with every 3rd party program, I admit, but when it does it is a godsend. I would like to be able to do this still in v4. Problem is, I don't know how. Any ideas?

Does Listary 4 beta support CIFS/SAMBA shares?

I apologize if this has been asked and answered. I searched the discussions first and could not find it.

I have a couple of CIFS/SAMBA shares mounted on my XP SP3 machine (mapped network drive). But it seems to me that Listary isn't indexing their contents.

Is this correct? Is there a plan to add support for that?

Trial version?

I've just downloaded Listary, and it seems to suit my needs. Without a paid version, I was still able to use pro features such as projects. There's a "Buy the pro version" entry in the list, though.

I'm wondering: for how long is this functionality enabled? I certainly won't mind paying (and I will after I've played around with it for a while), but are those pro features retained after startup, for example? (Such that project shortcuts won't be deleted after reboot or anything.)

Congratulations finally getting Listary 4 Beta out into the world. I am looking forward to using it and am confident it will have been worth the wait.
I haven't seen this addressed yet. Or missed it.
Will the beta be installed over top of my Listary Pro 3.51? Should I un-install 3.51 first to avoid any potential conflicts, etc.?

Action - Move to Current Folder does copy and not move the file

When I use the "Action - Move to Current Folder", a window pops up asking me, if I really want to move the file. I tried this some times with different files and I always clicked yes, but the file is not moved but copied (= the file still exists in the old folder). Usually this is a bug, but as I'm very new to Listary there is maybe another solution for this, which I can't find or which I have to edit in options? Listary is working on Win8/64bit

Font & text size.

Since installing the new version 5, the popup list window is in a large font very different from what I use and what Listary used before. I find it a bit jarring. Is there a way to change it?

Search for particular file types?

So I've installed the trial version and giving it a test run, and I'm wondering if it's possible to do fuzzy searches, filtered by specific file types? i.e. I only want to search .exe's and using "recorder" as the search term. Have Listary only show results of .exe's that match the search phrase?

why Application Favorite toolbar invalid

open menu-favorite-toolbar, there is a Menu:Application Favorite ,but if u open a folder dailog ,the Application Favorite menu can't be show on the toolbar's Favorite,why? the version is 1175,IE 8,win7
