How to avoid renaming file in "Save file" dialogs?
Updating portable version
I have a license for Listary Pro and I use the portable version. When the software is updated, I download the .ZIP file from your download page. This .ZIP archive contains a file called Config.xml with 0 bytes. It's very easy to make a mistake and copy this file on top of your existing configuration file. It happened to me, but I had a backup of this file. If you don't have a backup, you can start configuring Listary all over again.
Question:
Is it possible that you remove Config.xml from the archive?
Or can you add a second archive with the portable version to your download page for people who upgrade?
This version is without the 0 byte Config.xml file.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

How do I make Listary work with XYplorer?
Also, under Options ... Compatibility it says for XYplorer "Edit [Instance: 10]". What does this mean and what do I have to do?
Sorry for being a complete novice on this. Thanks,
Bob
Remove or move "Add Here" + turn off auto menu pop-up
1) I've got Favorites arranged in submenus, like "Pictures"->"Mine"->"Summer", etc. When I start typing "Pic..." in the Listary toolbar (Win-W) the Favorites list drops down with "Pictures" highlighted. I hit Enter and the "Pictures" submenu opens up with "Mine" being the first in the list. I'd like to simply hit Enter to select "Mine", but when I hit enter "Add Here" gets selected. Can I either remove the "Add Here" option or move it to the bottom of the list so that I could quickly get through first entries in submenus just by hitting Enter repeatedly? I don't really use "Add Here", as I've got my Favorites set up.
2) When I move my mouse over one of the three buttons in the toolbar (Favorites, Recent, Options) the relevant menu pops up instantly which I find a bit intrusive. Is there an option to turn off this auto pop-up behavior so that I can open the menu the old-fashioned way, by clicking on the button?
Thanks.
List order
The same issue occurs in other applications (not file managers) too.

RegExp
Does it mean that Listary by default (or always?) use non greedy search? In other case this regexp would never match any string as any digits at the end would be consumed by .*
If this is true, Listary regexp implementation is different from described in "The 30 Minute Regex Tutorial" which in my opinion should be pointed out in the answer.
Default File Manager Setting
I am using XYplorer as my default file manager. In trying to set this up I have placed C:\Program Files\XYplorer\XYplorer.exe in the path line/box, no quotes. What should go in the Parameter line/box?
I'm not sure what it means by "...Use %1 in parameter for the path. Do not forget quotes."
I am more of a user than a coder and don't have a real handle on variables. I think that is what %1 is??
Listary is making opening and saving files so much easier now. Wish I had found it a long time ago.
Thanks for a great program.
The Minutia of the Multiples
Using the "find as you type" approach, Listary conveniently highlights/focuses the current item in the listview (targed by <Up>/<Down>) - but is it possible
to highlight/select more than one?
For instance, typing .mp3 obviously brings up all the mp3's in a
listview, but I can only highlight one at a time - if I want to delete
(for example) all of them, I need to use other means of selecting them
en masse. Maybe holding down the <Ctrl> key could instigate a
soft-lock on a particular highlight allowing one to go on to the next -
or maybe using the <Left>/<Right> keys (as they don't appear
to be used anyway).
Technically, this could be incorporated into the custom commands as
well, wherein instead of being limited to a %file% (singular) selection,
one could have a %files% (multiple) variable available.
Just an idea. :)
And, while I'm at it, I should add that when a system DPI above 100% is
used (such as "medium" - 125%), the overlap of the listview on the toolbar
is a bit annoying for lower-case font-descender display. If the
window overlap is there as a purely aesthetic notion, perhaps shifting it down a
few pixels wouldn't hurt? (Being a big fan of the earlier Listary versions - namely the less-posh "2.x" builds - this wasn't an issue).
(Yeah, using .gpq as an extension is an extreme example, but you get the idea.)
Icon highlighting on desktop as you type
Now it does not seem to be.
Also(maybe because of this???) when I hit the selected file is no longer launched.
Any ideas???
Always open new window
Favorite/File(executable), how to specify working directory?
In Windows shortcut properties dialog, there is a "Start in" text box where I can specify the working directory for the executable, but listary's favorite details only have "Path" for the executable, is there any way I can set the executable's working directory?
Thanks.
some explorer related features suddenly stop working
1. "Double click in empty area" does not active Listary anymore (although I did enable "Double click" in "Keyboard and Mouse";
2. The Global "Show popup menu" hotkey still brings up Listary menu, however, it seems that Listary has totally detached from any currently running explorer:
a. clicking on any folder from Listary's popup menu (either under Favorite or Recent) does not switch current running explorer to that folder (seems like nothing happens after clicking a folder);
b. "Currently Opened Folders" always shows "None";
c. Any current folder related Smart command, like "Command Prompt", runs from Listary's own folder, not from current folder of focused explorer;
d. When typing in explorer, the quick filter list does not popup and I am stuck in explorer's own type-and-find feature.
Note that if there's no explorer running, click on a folder from popup menu does bring up a explorer with correct folder, however, this new explorer is still detached from Listary ("Double click" does not work, cannot switch folders, no filter list, etc.)
Switching directory in Listary's toolbar still works for Open/Save file dialog.
It could be some options I changed but I went through Listary's "Options" and did not find what option(s) I changed can affect this issue.
I also tried exit Listary, kill explorer, reboot system, no lucks.
On the other hand, all my Windows 7 systems (all 64bit) are working without this issue.
Any ideas? Thanks.
(UNC) Copying network path
Edit: I found "Copy Path" but maybe it would be a nice feature for Listary?
[Find as you type] Select relevant entries and copy to program
For example: Use WinKey+W shortcut, start typing .csv and get the following results
File.csv
File2.csv
File3.csv
Is there a way to have all of those files selected/highlighted and be able to copy those paths? (similar to Shift+Right Click)

System Info: Windows 7 Home Premium
Listary Version: 3.51.753
double-click on any part of the empty area in Explorer doesn't work anymore...
I presently used Listary on my Netbook (XP-SP3) for few months now and since a couple of days I'm unable to access the pop-menu by double-clicking on an empty part of the Desktop. I first tried to reintall (the set-up release) and secondly downloaded the last release. But unfortunately, theese two tries didn't solve the problem.
Lastly, I saved the config.xml before deleting it and relaunch Listary top see if I recovered that fonction: with a brand new config.xml, the double-click opens the pop-menu!
So, it 's probably due to an element in the config.ml I previouly used. As I don't want to loose all my favorites I would know where in my config.xml I can look to solve this problem...
Thanks a lot for any help,

Monitor last opened folder of FreeCommander
I'd like to use Listary along with FreeCommander.
"Find as you type" and setting FreeCommander as the default file manager in Listary works, but I can't get it to monitor FreeCommander's last opened folders. Also opening a folder from the Listary context menu in FreeCommander (e.g. Recent > [Folder]) does not seem to work - nothing happens.
Tried Listary 4 Beta and FreCommander 2009/XE.
Any ideas? Thanks!
